Just a reminder that our paintball windup is scheduled for next weekend on May 8th at 1 o'clock. Please let me know if you are coming by this coming weekend as I have to confirm numbers and buy food. Don't forget to bring your waiver signed by your parent if you are under 18 or you won't be able to play! Parents and friends are welcome, just be sure to let me know! We also have ordered a Silver Medal Banner to hang in the arena that we would like all of the boys to sign that day. Thanks!

Thanks to everyone for such an awesome season! We are so proud of our boys for winning the silver medal! Pretty good for being in the middle of the league all season! Way to go boys! Jerseys can be returned to the arena on April 1st at 7:00. Hope to see you all May 8th at the Paintball Windup!!

Hello team!
We changed our windup date at the Silver Creek Paintball Course to Saturday, May 8th at 1:00. We had some boys that couldn't make it in April and it should also be warmer in May so I hope that works for everybody.
Please remember if you are under 18 your parent has to sign a Paintball Waiver for you to play. Click on the link to download the waiver. You can also get waivers and directions from the website at www.silvercreekpaintball.ca/ so check it out!
We will be paying the $45 fee for all players and coaches. You get 500 paintballs included in your fee, but if you want more they are $30 for a bag of 500. Parents and friends are welcome! We will have hamburgers and drinks available for everyone attending. Please confirm with me who all is coming as I'm supposed to let them know numbers the week before. Hope to see you all there! It was a blast last year!!Thanks!!

The coaches asked that we send out a thank you to all of the parent volunteers for making our tournament such a success. They all had a great time! We scratched the lotto cards during practice yesterday and we won $60 that will go towards our team. And yes Stan the card you played won $28!!
We are looking into taking the boys to the Men's Olympic Gold Medal game on February 28th at the South Side Cineplex. We will use our team money to buy tickets (they are $9.95), for our boys and coaches, if they are not sold out. Parents are welcome to pick up tickets for themselves as well and join us! We are thinking we may do a team dinner afterwards.
We took some new team pictures on Sunday and will be making thank you cards for our tournament sponsors. We will be giving the cards to parents to give to the sponsors they approached and you can either hand-deliver or mail them. As every family on the team also made a donation, each family will also get one. Thanks so much to Deneen Goyer for coming out and taking pictures with her cool camera!

Hello team!
I would like to thank everyone for all of their hard work this weekend! Without the participation of all of you, our tournament would not have been such a success!  Way to go!!
Now for some bad news. I believe that St. Paul thinks we will be too much competition for their tournament as they called Sunday night to say that they would be sending our cheque back. I have already called the Galaxy Motel and canceled all reservations made under the Millet Storm team name.
We will be playing Clive for the Zone 4 Provincial spot and they will be coming here on Wednesday, February 10th. They have not yet offered a spot for us to go there. If we win, we will be headed to the Provincials in Smoky Lake on the March 26-28th. If not, we are looking at a Calgary tournament the same weekend. I will keep looking to see what else I can find in the way of tournaments.
Sorry for the mix-up and all the changes. The calendar on the website is always the most current and up to date. See you all Saturday!

Hello team!
We had our meeting tonight and things seem well underway in preparing for our tournament. There are a few parents who still need to pay Sandy $5 for the lotto board and a few who need to sign up for their tournament work shifts. We decided to meet again next Wednesday, Jan 13 at 7 at the arena to prepare for the tournament. Please bring your donations and prizes and we will organize them, make our posters etc. Also we are making a beverage basket so please bring your donation for that. Be sure to get the name of your sponsors to Dawna so she can get them in the program. Thanks for all your hard work!

We are having a parent meeting Wednesday at 8:00. We need to organize things for our tournament. Please remember that each family needs to donate $5 worth of lotto tickets for our lotto board. You can either bring the tickets or give the money to Sandy. Also we need to know what donations we have and what we need to buy. We will be having a work bee next week to do the posters and tickets and baskets and things so we will pick a time at our meeting on Wednesday. Dawna will also have the work schedule if you have not signed up for your shifts yet. See you there!

Happy New Year!!
Just to let you know, there have been some changes to the league schedule. Delburne was added to our tier and so many of our away games are changed or canceled. The first addition is on January 3rd and we now have a game in Delburne at 4:15. Sorry for the short notice. I emailed out this change but the rest I just changed on the schedule without emailing all of them. See you at the home game this Saturday against Hobbema!! I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas with your families!!
